FOR PROSPECTIVE EAGLE SCOUTS

Here is the process we follow for Prospective Eagle Scouts:

STEPS 1 THROUGH 13 MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE THE PROJECT BEGINS
  1. Scout meets with Chris and decides on a project that both like.
  2. Scout goes through the standard Scout process and writes a Preliminary Project Proposal.
  3. Scout emails the preliminary project proposal to Chris.
  4. If preliminary project proposal is ok, Chris emails it to Ellen.
  5. Ellen and Chris consult the Parks Dept regarding the project. If the project needs approval from the Historic Advisory Committee and/or Planning Dept., we will advise the Scout about how to go about that and help.
  6. Ellen sends the proposal to the HUCA Board for comments
  7. Ellen gathers comments from the HUCA Board
  8. Ellen sends the Board's comments to the Scout, and cc's the Board.
  9. Scout revises the project. If there are questions, (s)he should contact Chris.
  10. Scout sends the revised project to Chris.
  11. Chris sends the revised project out to the HUCA Board.
  12. Ellen gathers comments from the HUCA board. If the project is not revised to the Board's satisfaction, repeat steps 7 through 11.
  13. The Scout meets with interested HUCA Board members in the Cemetery to review the project.
  14. The Scout does the project.
  15. Upon completion of the project, the Scout presents to interested Board members what has been accomplished.
  16. Ellen (or current HUCA Board President) signs off on the project.
